It takes great pleasure that our 16 Mile Rural Development Society has stepped into thirty year of existence. It has been offering services for the underprivileged and people in need around four districts of North Bengal. It made the services reach to the people with extended hand of support and co-operation from the government bodies, non-government financial agencies donors’ local governance and most of all the admirers of the society.

These thirty years were not very easy for the organization. It was dedication and commitment of the project staffs and volunteers that stay there to ward off every challenge during the journey. The path was full of challenges, troubles to reach the goal. Even it was established with the nobel idea to challenges natural disaster flood. So, the management and also the people for whom it offers services are the eye witness of its all ups & downs during there thirty years.

After a harsh situation of covid it was very hard to connect people. After so many rigorous efforts it has overcome the hard less to conduct the programs during 2023-24, it worked or health and sanitation programs on child development, development of agriculture and allied sector mostly on skill development and income generation programs.

With this annual report 16 Mile Rural Development Society wants to reach the readers admirers, helping hands with a glimpse of the efforts made during the year to carry out the programs and to reach the target. It is just a pen picture that shows the activities at the organization during 2023-24.

Hence, I would like to thanks our management and project staffs who worked hard 24x 7 for this organization. I have to express my gratitude to the government and non government agencies, Local bodies, financial institution and most of all our community people who have extended their hands of assistance to this organization, without which it was impossible to stand by.
